Performance Measures

As Director of the Oregon Lottery®, it is my privilege to present the Lottery’s Annual Performance Measures Report for 2009 which has been filed with the Department of Administrative Services.

Although the Lottery is not a mandatory reporter, we believe it is important to participate in this program in order to provide the citizens of Oregon with a concise understanding of the Oregon Lottery® and what it accomplishes each year.

In 2009, the Oregon Lottery® celebrated 24 years of doing good things for Oregon and Oregonians. As you will see from the Report, the Lottery produced $1.1 billion in sales. The Lottery also achieved the highest ever biennial transfer of $1.32 billion. This resulted in record-breaking support for Oregon’s programs for public education, economic development, job creation, state parks, and watershed enhancement/salmon habitat restoration.

Despite the impact of the economic downturn, the Lottery looks forward to continuing to build on our past performance. In addition, we anticipate providing new and exciting games for our players.
