The Oregon Lottery® - More Than Just Fun & Games

How long has the Oregon Lottery® been selling tickets? Where do Oregon Lottery® dollars go? Who decides where those billions of dollars are distributed? How many lotteries, including Oregon’s, are part of the Powerball® game?

If you have difficulty answering those questions, we have the answers. As part of the Oregon Lottery®’s outreach efforts, we offer a multi-media presentation that explains the ins and outs of the Oregon Lottery®. From the first ticket sold to the most recent Lottery dollar transfer to the State, the Lottery’s presentation offers an opportunity to debunk long-held myths and any questions the audience might have.

“We want Oregonians to understand the good things the Lottery is doing for Oregon and this presentation illustrates that and much more,” said Lottery Director Dale Penn. “We cover a wide variety of topics about the Lottery including history, games, and how Lottery dollars benefit the state.”
