Lottery’s St. Patrick’s Day Raffle^SM Tickets Selling Fast!

Salem, Ore. (February 2, 2009) The Oregon Lottery®’s new St. Patrick’s Day Raffle^SM ticket is selling fast. The new Raffle game went on sale at 5 AM, Sunday, January 25, 2009. As of Monday, February 2, 2009, after just one week of sales, nearly 70% of the tickets have been sold. Of the 250,000 Raffle tickets available, only 81,000 remain.

The $10 St. Patrick’s Day Raffle ticket offers players the chance to win the $1 million top prize. There are also 10 prizes of $20,000 and 1,000 prizes of $100. Here are some interesting Raffle game statistics from the first week of sales:

• The first ticket was sold at 5:00:28 AM on Sunday, January 25 in Oak Grove
• The largest number of tickets sold in one hour was 2,525 (11 AM - 12 PM)
• Average daily ticket sales have been 21,089
• Based on average daily ticket sales, the Raffle game could sell out by Thursday,
  February 5, 2009

The drawing for all Raffle game prizes, including the $1 million jackpot, will be on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, 2009. To see the winning numbers, go to the Lottery’s Web site at oregonlottery.org on March 17.
