St. Patrick’s Day RaffleSM Leprechaun to Announce Number Worth $1 Million!
Salem, Ore. (March 13, 2009) Shamus O’Shaughnessy, the Oregon Lottery®’s St. Patrick’s Day RaffleSM leprechaun, will be in Salem to announce the winning number for the Raffle’s $1 million top prize. The announcement will be made at 8:30 AM on Tuesday, March 17, 2009 – St. Patrick’s Day – at the Lottery office in Salem.
The public is invited to be at the Lottery office when Shamus announces the $1 million winning Raffle number. Beginning at 8 AM, the Lottery will also be streaming the announcement live on its Web site at www.oregonlottery.org.
In addition to the $1 million top prize there are 10 prizes of $20,000 and 1,000 prizes of $100. Following the St. Patrick’s Day announcement, players can check to see if their Raffle is a winner at any Oregon Lottery retailer. A complete list of all winning numbers will also be available on the Lottery’s Web site at oregonlottery.org on March 17.
After going on sale on January 25, 2009, all 250,000 available St. Patrick’s Day Raffle tickets were snapped up by Lottery players in just 12 days. The first ticket was sold at 5:00:28 AM on January 25 at Bill’s Oak Grove Gas & Food Mart in Milwaukie. Ticket #250,000 was sold at the Safeway on Edgewater in Salem on February 5 at 2:02:57 PM.
